I have wide ranging experience of working with children and young people in a variety of settings over the last 25 years. I have previously worked with children and young people in schools, youth centres, children and young adults with disabilities. 

Before joining Fostering Together I was also a children’s Independent Reviewing Officer for a local authority. I first qualified as a social worker in 2008, and I have worked in child protection and family support, and over ten years I then worked in fostering and have extensive practice knowledge and experience in this area of social work. I have been a regional practice manager for almost five years in an independent fostering agency, leading a team in assessing, training and supporting foster carers. I was also a senior lead in safeguarding for the agency, providing safe and nurturing foster placements for children and young people. 

I am really excited to join the Fostering Together team to support foster carers and children who make such a meaningful difference. It's great to see the great work Fostering Together has already achieved and to be joining the ongoing progression.
