🏆 Sarah and Carl Named Inspirational Parent Carers at the 2026 WellChild Awards 💙

What an incredible achievement for Sarah and Carl from Fostering Together, who were named Inspirational Parent Carer Winners at the 2026 WellChild Awards! 🏆💙

Since becoming foster carers, Sarah and Carl have opened their home and hearts to children with a range of disabilities and very complex medical needs. Some of the young people they have cared for had previously been unable to live outside hospital, and Sarah and Carl have helped them experience family life, with the care and support they need. 🏡🩺

The awards evening was a moving celebration of Sarah and Carl and othr inspirational individuals! 

One particularly touching moment came when Evelyn shared her own simple words about the care she receives:

“Mum and Carl looks after me so good!” 🥹💙

Sarah and Carl's achievement recognises the difference they make in the lives of the children they care for. Fostering a child with complex disabilities can involve learning new skills, managing medical needs and working closely with professionals, while making sure each child has the opportunity to enjoy family life and be part of their community.

We're incredibly proud of Sarah and Carl and the commitment, love and teamwork they bring to fostering. Their award is a wonderful recognition of the difference foster carers can make when children need specialist care and a family around them.
