Announcing our Accessible Community Support Facility ♿️🚾
We've had more big news this December - something we are especially proud of for 2024!
It's such a fantastic feeling to announce our new Accessible Community Support Facility – a game-changer for enabling people with personal care needs to access venues wherever we go!.
The Fostering Together Accessible Community Support Facility is a mobile unit to support all personal care needs, including a toilet, adjustable changing bed, hoisting and washing facilities. We can now take it wherever we go.
One of the challenges that people with physical disabilities and personal care needs and their families struggle with on a day-to-day basis is a lack of accessible personal-care facilities that can support all-ages, so we wanted to do something to address this!
We're so proud in this achievement this year as we brought the unit on it's first outing with us to our first Christmas family event of the year at the Rare Breeds Centre in Ashford, Kent.
We're looking forward to the broader horizons this also opens for future events including the ways we can support the wider disability community beyond Fostering Together!
We'll be taking this out on the road with us for all our events and offering support to those in the wider community to enable everyone to have dignity in access in all locations!
If your organisation or event could benefit from this facility with support from Fostering Together, please reach out to us! We'd love to hear from you:
