New Team members in the second half of 2025
This year we've been lucky enough to welcome a number of new staff team members in both the Operations and Social Work teams. This reflects our steadily growing fostering community, as we welcome new families, supported and cared-for children and support workers into our network.
To begin with, in October we welcomed Lucas as Senior Social Work Practitioner in the East Midlands providing to provide more local support to our regional fostering community in East Anglia and the East Midlands:
I have worked in social care since 2008 initially as a care and support worker with adults with learning and physical disabilities, older adults and in mental health. In 2012 I qualified as a social worker and worked for a local authority in children’s services in an Assessment team, Disabled Children’s team, a Young Adults Preparation for Adulthood team and then in fostering. In the fostering team I took a lead for the part of the service dedicated to planned breaks for parents and carers of children with disabilities as well as time as a supervising social worker and in the referral and duty team. I also have a lot of experience supporting young people with disabilities into adult social care. I am very happy to be continuing my career supporting people with disabilities at Fostering Together.
Next was Donna, who joins Debbie working in the team on HR and Finance matters to support the growing community of support staff and independents who contribute to the community!
Donna is Fostering Together’s HR Operations Coordinator and provides HR and Administrative support to the Team. Donna has spent over 25 years working within HR and her most recent roles have been centred around organisations providing health and social care for the community. She has been proud to be associated with organisations providing services for those who require their skills and nurture, and through this work has gained additional, transferable skills and knowledge relating to the care sector. Donna is looking forward to getting stuck into her role and contributing to Fostering Together's success.
