Meeting the community at Havens Hospices
Neil and Hannah had a fantastic Friday meeting the staff and family communities at Little Havens Children's Hospice in Brentwood at their Professionals Open Day. They are a fantastic and inspiring community there and we do already have community members who have engaged with both Havens and other children's hospices in their families.
In particular is Natasha, sharing her story about Havens supporting her and her late son Elijah through his life with his complex needs. Natasha did a very inspiring and thought-provoking speech to community members about her experiences with Advanced Care Support at Havens. Natasha is now on her journey to become a foster carers for other young people who have complex disabilities, continuing to use her experiences, support networks, adapted home environment and passion to provide a loving home to children who may otherwise miss out on opportunities to live in family environments.
