Welcome to our new staff team members in 2024!

So our staff team is experiencing growth in tandem with our fostering community, welcoming families, supported and cared for children, support workers and both social work and office team members into our network.

So in terms of the staff team first was Carly this year, joining us towards the end of March as Fostering Coordinator!  
Carly joins Fostering Together after an extensive background managing care and support services for people with disabilities and the elderly, as well as acting in direct care assistance work with people herself. At Fostering Together she will be coordinating the process of assessment of new families and the ongoing reviews of experienced carers, as well as maintaining the quality assurance of our administrative procedures using FosterKit.

Next was Maria, who joined the team the following week in early April as a Senior Social Worker Practitioner, based in East Anglia to support community in the East Anglia region. 
Maria has been a qualified Social Worker for 10 years and has worked for the local authority during this time. She has experience of working in different areas of social work, including Fostering, Disabled Children teams and front-line practice. 
 Maria feels that social work is not just a profession; it's a passion; social workers work in partnership with people, services and professionals. Social work is about people, seeing the person/child first, not their disability or their background. Maria carries this passion through supporting all young people and the families in our growing network.
